The Best ZWL$14.99 Xmas Present Ever!!!

Thinking... Today I was pleasantly surprised to find Mazowe Lime (Less Sugar) going for ZWL$14.99 in my local Spar. It was an early Xmas present, I am so accustomed to prices going up that a when you see a reduction of that magnitude you can't help but buy. 

As a person with experience as a Sales Rep, I could not help but imagine the back forth that took place before that reduction was passed. At some point, the Rep might have been blamed for not selling as stocks were building in the warehouse, while production kept on going full throttle. By the time it becomes evident that the product is just not selling the warehouse is full and something drastic needs to be done.

The Sales Manager goes on a warpath to get a discount. When the discount is finally passed, the Rep is constantly made aware of how awesome and proactive the Manager is (hahaha).

Now the battle to land the price and build displays to push that product out before it expires begins. Shop buyers just want the product gone like yesterday - the easy way is just returning the damn product. The Rep goes on a charm offensive, cooks up a convincing story and triumphantly gets the display space. What do you know, lucky me goes out and buys, with the intention of having something to serve those unexpected visitors that don't deserve the good stuff.

The next thing that comes to mind is what I would do if I was sitting on all that product and Xmas is around the corner? Simple, to make it work just sell it as a dash. Talk to Afdis or the guys that sell Jameson - Damn Jameson and Lime was the thing back in the days before I hung my boots. Get activators to stand by Topps and push it to all those thirsty party goers looking for a good affordable dash. At ZWL$14.99 they will definitely think up a number of cocktail recipes to make the case to even the hottest slay queens why Mazowe Lime is the best mixer in town.
