I’m sure you’re taking a welcome break from work, LinkedIn, and my newsletter, so I’ll keep this one short!
Firstly, thanks for subscribing to this newsletter. I know there’s a lot of insightful content to choose from on LinkedIn and I’m grateful you chose to put mine in the mix. I hope you’ve found some of the topics and insights from me and the hugely experienced people who have contributed interesting, thought-provoking or useful. I want to thank the tech leaders and investors who have shared their opinions, for me that’s what this newsletter and my podcast are all about. Although I’ve been posting my thoughts on the tech world for a while, this was the first year I’ve done it via a newsletter, and what a year to have started it. The tech industry is never short of headlines, and AI could be the subject of a newsletter. But there has been so much to cover; how tech teams are evolving and becoming more productive, diversity challenges and scarce skills, ESG and green tech, and the list goes on.

It has been a pivotal year, and if 2024 is half as fascinating, we won’t be short of talking points. My personal view is we will see huge steps in EV technology with 1000km plus ranges becoming achievable!? I’m going to kick off the new year by looking at some of the emerging themes that will shape the tech and the people behind it, with the usual takes from people in my network. If there’s a topic you have a strong view on or something you’d like to collaborate on for an edition of the newsletter, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Thanks again for taking the time to read the Future Tech newsletter. I hope you and your family have a great couple of weeks, and I wish you a peaceful and productive 2024!
