Best Wines for Easter Brunch
It’s almost time for Easter and, like many families, when I was a kid our family would go to Mass which was followed by Easter Brunch at home. My family typically served ham for the occasion. Now, that I’m in charge of Easter this prompted me to do a quick search for “do you serve white wine or red wine with ham?” This is what I found.?
Since ham is extra-savory, white wines like a Gewürztraminer and Riesling are ideal. And, if you’re a red wine lover, pair your ham with a Zinfandel or a red blend.?
If you’re serving lamb, which is also traditional for Easter, it looks like red wines, such as a Cabernet Sauvignon, Bordeaux, and Chianti make good choices. Gewürztraminer or a Chardonnay are also good choices.?
If you’re looking for some other ideas, our Spring Brunch Set offers a California Bubbly Rosé, California, Grüner Veltiner, from Monterey, California, Rosé from Provence, France, and a California Pinot Noir.?
There’s nothing like a wonderful glass of wine paired with a family dinner. I miss those family dinners with my parents when we were kids. I hope you’ll be enjoying Easter with those you love. Now, another important question… Do you love or hate Peeps?
