The Best Wine and the Best Security
When I was young I used WordPerfect and Lotus123 . Amazing stuff! I could easily build financial models, or write tomes without having to use liquid white out to correct my mistakes. Then came Office from Microsoft , and I was forced to say goodbye to my beloved WordPerfect and Lotus flowers.. . Enterprises favored Office. Victor: MSFT.
When I was young , our LANs ran on Novell’s Netware?with its separate LDAP directory on most operating systems . Then Windows NT arrived and it came with an OS that integrated Local Network protocols and also provided?us with Active Directory .?Goodbye Novell . Victor: MSFT
Now I’m old?and a security geek , do I miss my McAfee , my Norton antivirus, and all my point security products? Hell No! Why ? MSFT is now the best security vendor out there.?
User permissioning ,?, authorization, access, antivirus, disk encryption , back up storage, attestations , DLP , mobile Device Management , SIEM, XDR, and SSE ..?all from MSFT , and at lower overall cost, and with centralized visibility ? Why not switch? Remember WordPerfect, Lotus123, Novell ? Would you as a CISO buy a Symantec or McAfee?product today ??I think not.
