Silicon Scandal
Sam Altman, fired as CEO of OpenAI last Friday, will return to his position, the company said in a statement on the social network X (formerly Twitter). Before his return, 505 of OpenAI's 700 employees were threatening to be fired and transferred to a new structure created by Microsoft and led by Sam Altman and Greg Brockman. They also indicated that Microsoft had assured them they were ready to accept anyone wanting to switch.
Let us remind you that Microsoft Corporation can be considered the "godmother" of OpenAI: it invested more than $10 billion in the startup, actively used all OpenAI products, and contributed to the company's development in every way.
Takeaway: According to Tammy L Madsen , professor of management in the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University, this case shows that “ talent is the crown jewel of the organization. This is a space where there is a wide gap in what companies are seeing that they need in terms of AI talent and applied AI and what they’re seeing in terms of what’s available.”
?? Look for the optimal candidate if you can’t find the ideal one.
