The common leadership curriculum sessions I recently took during MWF program have laid the foundation for leadership development in my career and built upon existing knowledge. I must confess, the most interesting part of these sessions was not the course content but rather the different teaching methods employed by Simone Gbolo She managed to bring out the best in each fellow by engaging with us using small talk, smart games, self-reflection, and self-evaluation. Through her innovative teaching methods and the CliftonStrengths assessment, I was able to understand the importance of self-awareness in leadership and how individual strength could contribute to personal growth and team dynamics. Understanding my personal strength has allowed me to focus on what I can do instead of what I can’t do. Furthermore, when it comes to teamwork, understanding my teammates strengths can facilitate task distribution and task management. Thanks to Simone Gbolo for putting this together; I couldn’t have wished for better sessions. Now the challenge is mine to apply this set of skills in my role as accessibility advocate for PwD?!

Chief Marketing Officer ? Management Consultant ? Business, Leadership, and Career Coach | Helping People and Businesses Thrive and Make An Impact
I just completed my certification in Advanced Leadership from The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS)! It took a couple of years to complete it, but I am happy to have gone through this program in pursuit of being the best leader I can be. This certification demonstrates an understanding of the NSLS Nine (9) Principles and Behaviors of Leadership; and knowledge of identifying passions and core values, while also demonstrating connections between purpose, passions, values, and leadership perspectives. Through this program, leaders gain proficiency in concepts from growth mindset and emotional intelligence to their leadership strategies and analyze their strengths, weaknesses, and ways to get out of their comfort zone. Earners of the certificate have also demonstrated their ability to develop habits that lead them and others toward success, engage in active learning, commit to diversity and inclusion initiatives, and engage in decision-making processes. Next up: Finishing my certification in Executive Leadership!

A fresh approach to developing your managers, leaders and teams. Skills | Solutions | Qualifications
Leadership training doesn’t work all the time. But it’s a whole lot easier to get right than some make out. Your approach needs to be proactive. A tokenistic one simply will not work, which is the one a lot of businesses take. I don’t want to hear any of this, “Just send them on that course”, because it’ll be a waste of time, money and effort. It needs to be laser-focused, too. It starts with diagnosing exactly WHAT leaders need and then building a programme of feedback and experience-based development around these skill gaps. Ask questions like: Why are we doing the training? What are we looking to achieve? What skills gaps will it fill? Etc etc etc. With leadership training, it’s not WHAT you do. It’s HOW you do it that gets results. Need a hand? Let’s have a chat.
