This time of year, I am especially mindful of the significance our role plays in using technology for good.?

I love the #EarthDay2023 theme of “Invest in Our Planet.”?? After all, this Earth is the only one we’ve got.?

We just published Insight’s 2023 Corporate Citizenship Report, which highlights the work we’re doing internally, and with partners and clients to drive sustainability and digital transformation. Specifically, we have helped clients:?

• Reduce infrastructure and carbon footprints by using cloud services.?
• Improve energy efficiency and resource stewardship through modern data center platforms.?
• Optimize water, fuel, and power consumption through support for smart city infrastructure.?
• Create carbon savings by empowering remote workplaces and virtual professional events.?
• Protect the environment with leading-class asset disposition for device reuse and recycling.?

When we decided to invest in our new headquarters in Chandler, Arizona, sustainability goals drove our design. We included key features like:?

• Solar panel installations over the parking lot, which provide up to 80% of our building’s energy needs at peak hours.?
• A building automation system manages lighting, HVAC and window shades.?
• 100% LED lighting with occupancy sensors to reduce waste.?
• On-site electric vehicle charging stations.?
• Over 1,000 trees and variegated plants throughout the building improve air quality.?

Our headquarters achieved LEED Gold accreditation for excellence in sustainability. And that, in combination with our solutions and services, earned Insight recognition on Barron’s 100 Most Sustainable Companies.?
