The Best Way to Handle Regrets and the Stupid Mistakes You've Made

Have you ever made a mistake, done something stupid, or said something you later regretted?
Me too. Probably far too often.
Wouldn't it be great if we could press rewind and run that scene again with the benefit of hindsight? If only. But sadly the remote control of our lives doesn't have a rewind button.
So here's a piece of new SUMO wisdom for you, born from the harsh realities of the many mistakes I've made over the past few months.
'You can't press the rewind button on life. But you can press pause. Learn the lesson. Then press play.'
There really is no point beating yourself up and gathering up your regrets to carry throughout the rest of your life. Let them go. But don't let the lessons go.
You see, whatever the pain of your past, you still get the chance to create some positive moments in the future. But you can only do that when you choose to pause and then press play.
