This is a thing too often overlooked. There are some known quantities out there, such as CompTIA that are recognized industry standard. If it is for a specific area or product, is the training supported or provided by the OEM? If it is a school or college, who accredited it? Know the differences between regional, national, or affiliated accreditation. Check out their online presence, if the credentials are not shown, this is a huge red flag. If they are, verify that they are valid - years ago I nearly got sucked into a diploma mill type scam and my credentials/accreditation checks are what saved me.
