The Best Tech Sales Recruiters
If you need a little extra help finding your next tech sales role, have you considered working with tech sales recruiters?
Working with recruiters is a great way to expand your job search beyond just sending applications on your own.
Tech sales recruiters have pre-existing relationships with tech companies that are looking to hire for sales roles.
When you work with these recruiters, they will circulate your resume around to the employers they have agreements with. Then those employers will say yes or no in terms of whether they want to interview you.
Reaching out to recruiters is a great strategy to get more interviews and increase your chances of landing the best possible offer.
But which recruiters should you work with?
Here are the best tech sales recruiters:
1. Betts Recruiting
I’m a huge fan of Betts Recruiting.
I’ve only had good experiences working with their recruiters and they consistently publish high-quality content.
I highly recommend you check out their blog and guides, especially their Compensation Guide, Equity Guide, and Industry Hot List.
In terms of working with their recruiters, you have two options:
Betts Connect is a recruiting platform that connects sales talent with job opportunities at the hottest tech companies. Once you sign up for the platform, you won’t necessarily be working with a recruiter, but you’ll have access to all the job opportunities on the platform.
To work directly with a Betts recruiter, you can go to the Betts Recruiting LinkedIn page, click on the “People” tab, and then scroll through until you find a recruiter who looks likes a good fit based on your experience level and the type of job you’re going for.
I suggest reaching out to a few recruiters to increase your chances of getting a response.
You can also fill out this form on their website to be connected with a Betts recruiter.

2. TheLIONS
TheLIONS is another tech sales recruiting agency that I had a really good experience working with when I was going through the tech sales job search myself back in 2021 (searching for Enterprise AE roles).
One recruiter in particular was able to connect me with opportunities that had compensation levels way higher than what I was getting when I was doing the job search on my own. And I’m still friends with that recruiter to this day.
TheLIONS is one of the few recruiting agencies that recruits exclusively for tech sales roles.
On their website, they claim to be the “#1 USA talent agency for technology sales.” They specialize in recruiting for “elite VC-backed startups & enterprises.”
Here are the roles, products, and geographies that TheLIONS recruits across:
3. Rainmakers
Like TheLIONS, Rainmakers recruits specifically for tech sales.
Rainmakers is different from other recruiters in that they offer a unique recruiting platform exclusively for salespeople.
Here’s how it works: the salesperson creates a “sales profile” on the platform, then tech companies “bid” on the profiles.
When you create your profile, you set your own hiring requirements and compensation range.
Rainmakers says, “You don’t apply to companies. The companies apply to you!”
Their website makes it look like they only offer the platform and no traditional recruiting services, but if you go to the?Rainmakers LinkedIn page and click on the “People” tab, you’ll see they have recruiters on staff who you can reach out to.
Here are the sales roles and markets that Rainmakers recruits across:
4. 80Twenty
Their name is 80Twenty because they claim to recruit “the top 20% talent that drives 80% of the results.”
80Twenty is not exclusively focused on tech sales (they also recruit for marketing and creative roles and they recruit for non-tech industries).
However, we’ve still included them in this list because they have a great reputation and their online reviews are phenomenal (4.8 stars with 219 reviews on Yelp and 5.0 stars with 203 reviews on Google).
Also, on the?Industries We Serve page on their website, 7 out of the 12 industries listed are tech industries: Startups, Technology Companies, SaaS & Software, FinTech, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and Mobile Development & Gaming.
Here are the industries 80Twenty recruits for:
5. Sales Talent Inc.
Founded in 1999, Sales Talent Inc. is the most tenured recruiting agency on this list.
They are also a G2 Market Leader and a five-time winner of the Best of Staffing award.
According to the About page on their website, “Sales Talent Inc. is an award-winning marketing & sales recruiting firm. We place Go to Market roles: sales reps, SDRs, customer success managers, sales engineers, marketing professionals, and sales leaders with SaaS, software, technology, industrial, medical, and general B2B companies."
Here are the sales and marketing roles that Sales Talent Inc. recruits for:
6. HireDNA
What makes HireDNA unique is their focus on using data-driven matching technology and science-backed assessments.
As they say, “Sales recruiting powered by data.”
In order to create “comprehensive candidate profiles,” HireDNA evaluates the following data points: compensation requirements, quota attainment history, role compatibility, culture fit, sales experience, and sales skills and abilities.
Here are the sales roles that HireDNA recruits for:
7. RevPilots
RevPilots is an up-and-coming sales recruiting agency.
The founder of RevPilots, ?? Joe Benjamin , has an extensive background in tech sales as an AE, Director of Sales, and Head of Sales. Joe has also been a founder at several startups before RevPilots. So you can rest assured that Joe knows his stuff when it comes to tech sales recruiting.
RevPilots focuses on recruiting “full time sales talent for startups and SMBs from SDR to CRO,” according to the RevPilots LinkedIn page.
RevPilots is unique in that they also recruit for “fractional” roles.

How to reach out to recruiters
Okay, so now you have a solid list of the best tech sales recruiters.
But how do you actually work with them?
Fair warning: recruiters don’t work with just anybody.
They only work with candidates who have a high chance of getting hired.
Why?
Because they only get paid when you get hired.

So, you want to make sure you’re presenting the best version of yourself when you reach out to recruiters. Before you reach out, you should optimize your resume and LinkedIn profile for the specific tech sales job you’re trying to get.
I’d suggest reaching out to 2-3 recruiters at each recruiting firm.
Don’t reach out to more than 3 recruiters at one firm because most firms have a centralized system where they keep track of candidate communication. If you reach out to every recruiter at the firm, they’ll all know and it will look like you’re spamming. Not a good way to get a response.

Conclusion
Working with recruiters is a great way to get more interviews and increase your chances of landing multiple tech sales job offers.
Remember that these recruiters won't work with just anybody. You have to prove that you're a top tech sales candidate, otherwise recruiters won't want to connect you to their employers because they don't want to risk their valuable employer relationships.
