Best-proven Strategies for Creating Content that Converts

Best-proven Strategies for Creating Content that Converts

Before now, ads used to be the perceived feasible strategy for selling online. Companies invest millions of naira to create ad campaigns for selling their goods and services on the walls of the internet which does not always guarantee equal results.

Then after John Deere launched the first content marketing strategy of 1895 he termed "the Furrow" magazine with a mind-blowing result of over 4 million subscribers in a year. Content marketing, which entails trading via content creation, continued to grow and so far has become the most feasible means of selling online.?

It focuses on creating a lasting impression in the mind of the audience using value-driven content that breeds trust and loyalty over time. They are convinced you have their best interest at heart so therefore, are willing to partner with your brand.

In today's newsletter, we'll look at the best-proven strategies we can convert with content. The third one is my favorite?

  • Find out your audience's desperate needs

Human beings react differently to their needs especially when it's urgent. For instance, we complain a lot about the terrible economy yet we still manage to afford our basic needs of food, clothing, and shelter.

Your job as a content writer is to find out what about your product that makes them irresistible for your target audience. For instance, for someone in the business of mosquito repellant, showing your audience what harm malaria can cause them will compel them to buy your product more than anything else.

  • Be a Problem Solver

Every invention we enjoy today is a product of a problem-solving mindset. People always appreciate anything that makes life easier for them. This is why the internet remains the greatest invention of all time.?

When you create content that meets your audience's needs or answers their major questions, they are most likely going to stick around for long.

The idea is to create an impression that you have their best interest at heart which will build trust that can easily convert.

It's suffice to say, focus more on your audience and their needs, they will appreciate that by sticking around for a very long time.

  • Your hook should hook

Think about the different times you clicked on the "read more" on a post, or opened a blog post on Google. It wasn't about the boldness of the writing or the color or font of the article.?

How compelling your headline or the first statement is, determines if your audience will read through or engage.

A good headline should convey a sense of

  • Necessity

  • Urgency?

  • Heroism

These are attributes that can hook a reader to the last line and eventually take action.

  • Make your audience feel something

Have you ever read content and you saw yourself, looking for where to make payments??

Think about what happened.

Usually, you feel something. It could be fear, happiness, or a sense of hope.? I can vividly remember the first time I paid for a course online. I was doubting whether it was worth it or not and I didn't hesitate to tell the lady. What she did was save my contact,? and asked me to save hers, so I can have access to her status. It wasn't for two days, I saw myself asking for her account number.

If you can help your audience feel the need why your services are something they can't live without, they will remain loyal to you.

  • Have a clear call to action

Clarity is one aspect of writing that is very crucial. As you try to create your content in a way your audience will easily get the message, your call to action should be easily spotted too.

Human beings are emotional beings. Usually, the decision to patronize your brand could come after valuable content with a strong sense of conviction, as I stated earlier. At this point, your call to action shouldn't be far-fetched. You want them to subscribe, buy, share, or repost, it should be clearly stated and easily accessible.

Creating content that converts usually does not happen in a singular post. It takes time. I used to refer to it as organic marketing because it is one of those that can last for a lifetime when you finally get it right.

Therefore, strategically apply these strategies and create a lasting brand for yourself.?

Thank you so much for always stopping by. I'm sure you have value.? Do not forget to repost to your network and subscribe (if you haven't), so you won't miss out whenever I post.

Insightful comparison! Just as soldiers need a strategy, so do content creators.
