This Was The BEST Present!

This Was The BEST Present!

I'm feeling an overwhelming sense of gratitude after the Easter weekend.

It was a wonderful break, a time to slow down and be grateful for everything I have in my life.

It goes without saying, but times are different now and, like so many others around the world, I wasn't able to get away like I usually would.

But in staying home, I took the time to think about what I'm grateful for in my life:

- Grateful to have four days to relax and slow down.

 - Grateful for the educational books that inspire me to grow and become the best version of myself.

- Grateful for my mischievous dogs and all the love they bring to my home.

- Grateful for my husband and his love, support, and encouragement.

- Grateful for my two incredible children who are fantastic young adults and a joy to be around.

- Grateful for my wonderful parents who are so dynamic, healthy, and energetic at 80 years old, as well as their unconditional love for me and their grandchildren!

And even though I have missed my parents tremendously over the past year of social distancing, I was able to sit in their beautiful garden over the weekend and catch up in the glorious sunshine.

All in all, simply by focusing on gratitude has made this Easter break more energising and magical than it otherwise would have been.

Gratitude is deceptively simple and incredibly powerful. It's my present to myself.

Reflect on your own experiences, and if you are not in the habit of practicing deep gratitude, I highly recommend giving it a real go.

It will undoubtedly transform your mental and physical well-being.

Today, I am truly grateful to each and everyone of you who reads this article.

So, before clicking off and going about the rest of your day, simply answer this: What can you be grateful for today?
