10 个月Joe R., your article on truck driver recruiting provides an excellent foundation for best practices that are essential in today's trucking industry. This methodology aligns well with an approach I wrote about regarding the engagement of passive job seekers, a group often overlooked yet brimming with potential. Another area we've delved into (nerd alert) is utilizing Machine Learning, employing regression analysis and DBSCAN cluster algorithms to analyze patterns in driver recruitment headlines. For instance, these algorithms can be used to examine the correlation between pay scales and benefits and to learn what headlines and value propositions will actually resonate with drivers. It is nerdy but fascinating, to say the least. Together, these strategies signify a transformative shift in our approach to recruitment advertising, blending tried-and-true techniques with cutting-edge AI innovations. By examining pay versus benefits using ML and, in particular, these cluster algorithms, we can figure out strategies not only to attract the right talent but also to genuinely align with the competitive compensation emphasis highlighted in your article.

1 年Great article. I spent 32 years in trucking hauling oversized machinery and equipment, with over 4.3 million miles under my belt. I had never worked for a company of any size that had to recruit or advertise for drivers. Attraction rather than promotion. They didn't have to recruit or advertise they were hiring, they had a growing list of qualified drivers that wanted to work for them. Most of those comapines are still that way today, their drivers don't leave, they stay and retire from them, they only replace a driver when someone retires or they add more equipment to serve their customers. Qualified skilled driver will search for other employment because mostly they aren't respected or even listened to their concerns. It's not all about money. Attraction rather than promotion , make your company more attractive that qualified , skilled professionals will want to work for your company. Broken promises doesn't work.
