Best Practices and Mindset Shifts

Rosalyn Fung, M.Sc. Self-awareness is everything. What happens when we’re not self-aware? We’re not paying attention to what’s taking place around us or within us. And as leaders, it’s so important to pay attention to how we’re feeling, what we’re thinking, and how we’re showing up in the world. This will affect the way we interact with and inspire our team members.?

The Factors That Create the Biggest Shifts

When things are going well, we’re in flow; we’re in our element, and everything is all honky-dory, right? However, when things go sideways, that’s when we’re jolted out of our seats. And that’s when we need to take a step back and ask ourselves, “What’s happening here?” And one thing that’s made a massive change in my life and business is taking radical personal responsibility.?

And I believe this is important because life happens for us and through us, not to us. That is a victim mentality that will hold you back. It’s important to know that life is always happening for us, even when things aren’t going the way we want.?

This allows us to take back when necessary and start asking those powerful questions that can help shift our trajectory. One of them being: “How am I co-creating this situation right now? What part am I playing in it? And sometimes, it’s not obvious. In fact, oftentimes, we are blinded to what’s really taking place.?

And that’s actually where my specialty lies; I help you find those blind spots that may be holding you back. As a result, you’re able to see your situation more clearly and make better and more informed decisions going forward. That’s where the breakthroughs happen.?

The reason behind those breakthroughs is that once your blind spot is uncovered, you can approach old problems with new solutions. And it’s this kind of fresh perspective that opens the door to possibilities that were previously unavailable due to your blind spots.?

Energy Management and Shifting Beliefs

The process I just covered also helps you to better manage your energy. And that is critical because energy is emotions in motion. Your beliefs form your emotions, which then form your behaviors. So, it becomes a feedback loop that reinforces what you truly believe about yourself, about others, and about the world.?

That’s why it all starts when you decide to shift your beliefs. If our beliefs are more in the affirmative, we’ll feel better than if they were in the negative. It takes way less energy to be in positive emotions than negative emotions.?

Understanding the Map of Consciousness?

Negative emotions are heavy—very heavy. In fact, there is something called the Map of Consciousness, where Dr. David Hawkins scientifically measured human emotions. At the very bottom was shame, the heaviest emotion. At the very top was enlightenment.?

This was divided into low vibrations and high vibrations. At the top of the low vibrations is pride. And when we move into the first (or bottom) of the high vibrations, we find courage. And when you think about it, it makes sense. It takes courage to strip off that pride, ego, masks, and negative beliefs, and then actually look at ourselves. That takes courage. That’s why we feel “lighter” when we move into courage: because it has a higher vibration—a higher frequency.?

Ideally, we want to move into love, peace, and joy. That’s what we want our “normal state of being” to become, which is, by the way, our birthright. This is absolutely how we are born into the world. So, by returning to that vibration, we are, in essence, coming back home to ourselves. This is our natural flow state.?

Once you gain an understanding of these best practices and mindset shifts, you can quickly start making noticeable headway toward your organizational and business goals.
