“Stay on top of everything” is a saying that we hear very often in the business world. It doesn’t matter whether you have a big HMO property portfolio or you just manage one or two properties that bring you extra income on monthly basis, it is still important in either case.
This time, by saying it, I mean – stay on top of all necessary maintenance at the property, keep it in a good state, and always maintain communications with your tenants.
It is essential to keep your tenants updated about what is happening. Always give them a call or send a text message or email to keep them informed that you’re in the process of sorting everything out. Just let them know that something is happening, someone is doing something, and when you expect that everything will be done. This will show your Tenants that you care and it will serve to make them feel special and needed. Furthermore, such measures will mean that your tenants feel much more comfortable in the property, as if it was their own home.
