02 Start with reevaluating your diet
What you eat has a tremendous impact on your longevity. Focus your diet on 3 simple rules next year: Eat fewer high glycemic carbs, more healthy fats, and less animal protein. However, there are specific foods that are very healthy and can slow down aging, such as blueberries (associated with a reduced risk of heart attacks and lower blood pressure), fatty fish (linked to fewer cardiovascular diseases and auto-immune diseases), and green and white teas (beneficial for our blood vessels).
03 Give yourself enough rest
Not having enough high-quality sleep is associated with accelerated aging and increases the risk of various diseases, such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, Alzheimer’s, and depression. Improve your sleeping habits next year by going to bed at the same hour, ideally before midnight, and try to sleep for around eight hours. You can improve your sleep quality by walking outside for at least 20 minutes in the morning.
