Rethinking Your Approach to Innovation: Finding Balance in Product Strategy

According to Nils Koppelmann , balancing innovation and risk is key to a successful product strategy. A framework developed in collaboration with Nils Stotz offers a reality check, comparing product strategy to an investment portfolio.

It suggests allocating 60-70% to incremental optimizations, 10-15% to moderate restructuring, and 10-20% to radical innovations. This balanced approach prevents over-reliance on safe changes while fostering breakthrough ideas, aligning experiments with business goals and resources.
