Any one who wants to get into something / Learning, best practice is as follows,
Phase I - Decision Making :?Think yourself and decide on what your passion to / passion is.
Phase II - The Research :?Do research about your passion, Get clarity on What is it? Why is it??
Phase III - Training & Social media presence :?Once you get clarity on what your desired technology is, start with small training, then full training, Practise and create a good circle of you on social media platforms (Please be careful on Fb and behave properly on social media). Don't believe in “DM Meâ€, “Comment Yesâ€, “Comment interested if you are interested inâ€, kind of job posts. Also don't believe people who post other's posts as their posts, most of them are very old. 90% of them are just trying to grab followers only.
Phase IV - Interviews :?Practise how to explain about yourself, your education, your skills, your desired job. Why did you choose that skill? What did you do to grab a job on your skill? Have good practise in this flow.
You can check the in-depth process as follows.
Phase - I, Decision Making
First do your own check that,
Type 1. Is this your favorite?, you did your own research and find this technology suits your hobby/passion?, that is why you want to learn??
Type 2. A friend/brother/sister who works in the same field suggested, that is why you want to learn?,?
Type 3. You just heard that this is good, that is why you want to learn??
Type 4. You heard that this field will fetch a lot of money???
Type 5. You don't know anything about it, but as your friend is learning you are also getting trained on?
“Gems are those who fall under Type 1. You don't need any helping hand as it is your passion you will do your own research and you will get trained, and you will not feel bad if you don't get selected somewhere because of your research you know that there are many companies still left to target.â€
- If you fall under Type 2,?Not bad/wrong. If, in case you can not decide yourself to choose what technology/skill to choose, at least now you can listen to a few pieces of advice from well known people/friends of you. But now you have to do your own research and, on your own, you have to come to a conclusion that among all the technology suggestions, Yes, this is what looks so interesting for me. Once you come to that conclusion, Now you will become a Type 1 candidate.
- If you fall under Type 3,?Please just don't proceed when you hear about it. Try to become Type 2 person then become Type 1.
- If you fall under Type 4,?Dear, Try asking people who are happy? If they are happy, Check with them is it because of money or because they are working on what they are passionate about? Generally money brings a lot of tension too. You will have money but you will not enjoy it. So choose what you are passionate about, you can earn more money in that also.?
- If you fall under Type 5,?Dear, your friend chose what he/she was interested in, not you. They get a job and leave, and you? They will master the learning because they are learning what they are interested in, and you will fall behind because you are following your friend's interest, but not yours. No one will help you out if you get stuck with something in your career.
“Ultimate truth is, Try choosing what you love/passionate about/want to build a career on but not just following the trend. If you work on what is your passion you will earn and you will be happy as well. Trust me.â€
Phase II, The Research
Once you have done the self check on you. Learning process will start.
Stage 1. The Amazing Mantra:,
领英推è
i). What is it??
ii). Why is it??
iii). How is it?
“Chant this everywhere, every time and at every stage of your life. This will give you true learning, unforgettable answers. You will become your own critic, own teacher, and hence, a self learner forever. Nobody will ask you but you will become a self reskiller, upskiller.â€
Stage 2. Start Researching: (What is it? & Why is it? Phase)
- Say Jai Google/Bing/Yahoo..!, Choose whatever search engine you want, choose whatever social media platform you want to use it fully till the time your mind understands What is it? Why is it?
- Every doubt you get in your mind, Ask your search engine - What is it? Why is it?
- Go through relevant blogs, websites, videos.
- Don't stop till the time you get clarity on what you are learning.
Stage 3. Take a small course:?
- If you want you can take a small training also, worth 1,000 INR - 2000 INR on Udemy kind of platforms to know What is it and Why is it, in short.
- Now if you have got a good clarity on what you are going to learn and why it is useful, definitely you will have a clarity on what are all the topics your desired technology has.?
- Hence, you know what topics to cover when you are going to take an in-depth training.
Phase III,?Training & Social media presence
Activity 1: Social Media Presence
- Create a sample profile but with full details of your short name, education, your qualities, desired jobs, skills and everything updated to look like your profile All-star.?
- Start joining relevant field groups on Fb, LinkedIn, Whatsapp and Telegram.
- Join groups in which learning discussions, suggestions happen. Observe what they are discussing.
- Join groups who post jobs in your and other locations.
- Be wise on creating your Fb profile, because lots of spam on fb, so behave yourself on Fb.
- Make use of LinkedIn well, because next level spam is here, don't believe 90% of posts which says "Comment Yes", "Comment Interested, "Asking to DM", "Ask to whatsapp", "Ask to fill form" and "Mostly who don't repost job ads but they post other's post as their post on their wall. No matter how much you think you are applying, approaching employers will not fetch you a job.
- Add experienced employees to your connections, send connection requests, follow them, get your doubts resolved.
- As you are in job groups, take down those companies who hire your relevant skills. Target all those companies for future jobs with them. Keep observing what skills they usually look for in a candidate and train well on them.
- As you are in discussion groups, ask your doubts, if you know something, resolve doubts.
Activity 2: Parallel Full Training (Subject & Communication Skill)
- Because you are in groups, you know which institution is genuine and will cover all the topics.?
- Don't ever go for High budget training.
- Learn about certifications, how to do it, how much they cost, which institution is genuine(Because there are a lot of fake people who charge and leave candidates to their fate).
- There is another way too,?
- Take a full training under any senior most person you know on LinkedIn.?
- Have your technology software installed in your system, take server access or whatever requires to successfully practise your course.
- Take practise topics from your trainer, build something relevant to your field.
- Get errors, get them resolved.
Phase IV,?Interviews
- Take mock-interviews from people whom you know in your field.
- Have a good resume ready.
- Have good practise on how to explain about yourself.
- As you already have a target list of companies, start slowly applying to them and attending interviews.
- Learn from every interview.
- Prepare question banks yourself.
- Don't make the same mistake again.
“Trust me If you do this, you don't need anyone to pamper you, you just need guides but not someone who can give you a job directly.â€
