The Best Just Got Better!

One of the great things about my job is getting out and about and meeting the various teams at our unique client sites. Today, I was in the iconic Parliament Square in Westminster with our exceptional UK Supreme Court team.

I have to admit that I have a soft spot for this team and this assignment as it is just so unique! The building, the people and its place in UK history are unparalleled. I am proud to say I was there at its introduction (the opening of this unique building and not the beginning of the UK Legal system!) and it was great to go back and see so many familiar faces! It was lovely to see Eze and Mougas again marshalling the control room as they have from the start.

For me the highlight of the day was James Noone was asking me to sign in ----ELECTRONICALLY. James has driven a key project to take the assignment paperless and delivered it! The digital DOB is here through our Work IT system. James then showed me how the team have embraced other Carlisle Innovations in terms of Engage IT to allow officers to check shifts, leave messages and book holidays. He also showed me the suite of On Line Tool box talks he has created on key topics. Very impressive.

These projects are in keeping with our relationship to deliver a thoroughly modern service to a progressive client who is leading the way in reducing its environmental impact by going digital across its operation.

An extremely interesting project to be involved in, as we deployed the various tools we have available to us in order to fulfil a promise to go 95% paperless, aligning with the Supreme Court's own fantastic innovations. A unique site and a very welcoming team to deal with.

Great support and team engagement are the key drivers in a successful management/employee relationship and customer satisfaction as is illustrated in this article. Utilising integrated information management systems which allow for all basic security functions to be conducted electronically also demonstrates forward thinking and will also provide the ability to gather accurate and qualitative data, besides enabling and empowering the officers to take on management of their own administration to a greater extent. It is now essential that service providers can demonstrate this type of 'over the horizon' planning and investment for the future and couple it with environmental awareness in order to continue to be successful. This is the operational ethos that all should be aspiring to and just shows how determined Carlisle Support Services are to be amongst the best.
