The Best High Quality Remote Podcast Recording Software

I’ve been podcasting since 2013 before it became the “must-do” it is today. At that time I remember clients rolling their eyes when I suggested to them they should have a podcast. Today there are over 900,000 podcasts. It is estimated that in 2019 there were 750,000 podcasts and in 2018 Apple alone featured 550,000 podcasts. It’s incredible how fast the industry is growing!

Back in 2015 just after Startup Podcast became popular and Serial Podcast overtook mainstream media headlines, I came across a remote recording technology called Podclear founded by Spencer Handley. It enabled high-quality audio recording that surpassed what Skype could offer me. Thanks to Podclear I was confidently able to have premium quality podcast interviews remotely with huge brands like Levis and Zappos. At this point I was producing three shows and wanted to be as professional a podcaster as possible. This was no hobby.

While getting to know the team at Podclear I learned just how hard audio technology is. That it’s not just about the tech, it’s about how each browser Safari, Chrome, Firefox interacts with the tech and not all would even allow for audio technology. WILD. I wasn’t the only one who valued the glory of Podclear, soon they were acquired by a huge tech social networking company at the time, Blab, and then sadly, I no longer had access to my remote podcast recording superpower. That’s why when I discovered the startup SquadCast in 2018 (thanks to podcaster Jay Conner), which was a super boost of what Podclear was a few years before, I was eager to join the platform. 

Now by 2020 browsers are starting to become more compliant and the overall audio tech ecosystem is advancing. It took a while, but we’re getting there and SquadCast is the leader in high-quality remote podcast recording. Being that I am a professional podcaster, high-quality recording capabilities are ESSENTIAL in creating the award-worthy impactful content I work to make. For me, podcasting is like painting audio and SquadCast is the paint I use.
