The?Green Arrow?is green enough to have it in his name. His character was most certainly created by drawing inspiration from the classic archer Robin Hood, who takes from the rich and gives to the poor. Oliver Queen is a man who has experienced great fortune and great loss throughout his lifetime.

Green Arrow has always given everything he could to protect his city, truly living up to his character’s inspiration. He trained with a bow and arrow just like Robin Hood too! He never misses a shot, and he blends in perfectly with the trees. At this point, the suit is just iconic.

GREEN LANTERN

The?Green Lantern?has a power ring gifted to him by the Guardians of Oa, an alien planet that learned to harness energy from the emotional spectrum. The most refined and balanced of the lantern energies was the green energy of willpower.

There are many Green Lanterns, from Hal Jordan to John Stewart, and even an alien named Kilowog. Green Lanterns can do nearly anything thanks to their immense willpower, but their most well-known ability is creating green hard-light constructs.

Depending on her origin story, Dr. Pamela Isley learned how to use plants in a variety of ways that could never be expected, from mind control to physical manipulation. A series of experiments effectively made the botanical biochemist a plant herself, and she became the eco-terrorist?Poison Ivy.

Her powers not only grant her control of plants and pheromones, but also a connection to the Green, the connected power of all plant life throughout the universe. Depending on the artist who draws her, her skin may be naturally green due to chlorophyll in her bloodstream. Poison Ivy is often seen toeing the line between controlled chaos and reluctant heroics alongside her love,?Harley Quinn.

SWAMP THING

While Poison Ivy is connected to the Green, Swamp Thing is the most consistent Avatar of the Green. Dr. Alec Holland was a scientist working on creating a powerful chemical compound using components from a marshy swamp. When a volatile concoction exploded, Alec Holland died in the swamp.

However, the swamp and the chemicals worked together to take in all of Holland’s memories and create the Swamp Thing, the new Avatar of the Green. He is connected to and can control all plant life on this planet, and occasionally on others. He protects nature with all of his mighty power.

J’onn J’onnz is one of the last surviving Green Martians. A terrible civil war on his home planet of Mars, between the Green and White Martians, led to his people’s suffering during a horrific holocaust. As a Green Martian, his abilities are numerous, surpassing even?Superman’s?capabilities. He can fly, shapeshift, phase, and he has strength and speed comparable to Superman himself.

As a founding member of the?Justice League, he became the?Martian Manhunter. He often uses his superior telepathic communication abilities to lead the team in battle.

Garfield Logan has had many different origins, but one thing is always true of the Beast Boy: He can shapeshift into any animal that he’s ever seen. Of course, most folks are familiar with seeing him as a gorilla or a falcon, but one of his favorite forms is a T-rex. That’s right! He can also transform into dinosaurs, even though he’s never seen one in real life.

But what about alien life? Yup! Garfield can turn into any alien?animal?that he sees too, giving him all sorts of interesting forms and abilities. This has come in handy countless times as he helps?Nightwing,?Raven, Starfire, and the other?Teen Titans?across the galaxy. But no matter what form he’s in, he will always be pure green. The pigmentation is consistent in any animal he manifest and even as a human in his eyes, hair, and skin.

BRAINIAC

Brainiac is one of the most intelligent beings in the universe. He is considered a twelfth level intellect, making him a formidable foe against the Kryptonian?Man of Steel. In his quest for a perfect knowledge of the universe, he often requires experimentation that isn’t always “good.”

Brainiac is brilliant, but he is purely logical. He is a cyborg of sorts with an intelligence enhanced by technology that only he can comprehend. And while he’s experienced with advanced technology and logic, he’s a little green when it comes to emotions, causing him to lose to Superman due to the incalculable results of emotions.
