You get a lot of features for your money with the W12. This color touchscreen displays a 2D flyover of the hole, front mid and back yardage, as well as a green wave map.

It’s strictly a golf watch, without any health tracking, though I appreciated the colorful strap alternatives (pixel green, ocean blue) that are available for those who state They want.

The screen graphics are somewhat basic, but the layout is clear and navigation is easily achieved with a combination of color touchscreen and four corner buttons.
You have the option to use them as you like and we thought it was a nice touch for example the right hand buttons double as up and down functions on some menus but if you prefer the same of You can also swipe up and down the screen to access.
There are a lot of features on offer, but one of the best features is the slope adjustable distances (or tournament modes that disable them).
Mostly though it’s the touchscreen itself that we were most impressed with. We’ve made it very responsive and the more you pick it up and look at it, the brighter it gets. It’s a clever thing to do that saves a lot of battery life.

Thanks to the Fitbit integration, the watch quickly launched golf tracking for me as it recorded steps, distance walked, BPM and time played.

Despite that slim profile, it’s a very impressive device packed with thoughtful touch and handy features to help you improve your game and save time.
It boasts automatic shot detection, with every shot plotted on a course map. There are 36,000 course maps pre-loaded and the GPS is quick to update distances.
It also comes with 16 tracking tags, allowing the watch to automatically identify your clubs. These are usually sold separately, alongside premium golf watches, so that’s a real boon.
The only real downside is that the screen’s resolution is relatively low (just 176 x 176 pixels compared to the Garmin Approach S62’s 260 x 260), meaning less information can be displayed at once.
There are also no touch controls (operated using four physical buttons on the sides of the watch). On the plus side, this means you’re less likely to accidentally activate anything, but it also means navigating the maps is less intuitive.
