Initial Contact (meeting, call, email)

  • Positive Outcome (e.g., agreement to move forward): Send confirmation email with next steps within 24 hours.
  • Somewhat Positive Outcome (e.g., agreement to consider): Schedule follow-up call within 3-5 business days.
  • Neutral or No Response: Send follow-up email #1 within 3-5 business days, referencing previous contact & adding value.
  • Negative Response: Respond with email addressing concerns within 24 hours.

Follow-Up #1 Sent

  • Positive Response: Schedule a follow-up call to discuss next steps in detail (based on response).
  • Neutral or No Response: Send a second follow-up email within 5-7 business days. This email should take a different approach and offer additional value to pique their interest.

Follow-Up #2 Sent

  • Positive Response: Close the deal or schedule next steps to finalize the agreement.
  • Negative Response: Send a thank you email and end communication (unless you receive new information that might change their mind).
  • No Response: Consider reaching out again with a phone call or a final email (be polite and avoid being pushy).
