Best Experience with your First Bicycle

Best Experience with your First Bicycle

1. When our parents bought us a new bicycle then i didnt understand how to ride it but my elder sister let me know about it.

the more i fell more i grasp from falling my sister teach me riding bicycle with great perfection .

After that i usually take bicycle in the early dusk and run away from home for hours. Due to this my sisters always got late for job work and scolded me but i love to ride bicycle that time.

It was really awesome. Its like quite new thing to me that time. They just made my past memories alive.

2. On my grandfather insistence I tried to grasp riding cycle at my grand parents home.

That too without my father knowledge. I was told it will be quite exciting. It's a way to great freedom. I feel really powerful.

First time I came sweet home crying though my aunty protected me many times from falling. I fell and got scratches all over my arms and legs.

My grandfather scolded me for crying. Showed paddy which was lying in our home.

She took certain grains in her hand. Told ‘they have to dry it up under sunshine. Pound it. Eliminate husk then we get fine rice.

Same manner I have to dry out my laziness, pound off my doubts, delete my fears, then I could grasp riding.

I felt it is a very complicated lesson. For my 10 years old mind, nothing went inside. Just one thought. Bread I can eat. Cycle?

But one thing I know for certain. If I express it out what my grandfather would do!

She will wake me up at 5 in the early sunshine and will explain again!!!

Life's philosophy!!

It's better to grasp riding cycle than getting up at 5 in the early dusk! The issue is I don't have a boys cycle. I was learning on my some uncle’s one. My father would be ready to purchase golden bangles for me if I ask, but not a cycle. There are certain reasons.

1. I can't withstand hurt if I get pain.

2. If I cry “earthquake” comes up!!!

3. Our home chicks don't have that ‘khrama.’ (it means ill fate in Telugu)

4. His daughter will roam around in big big cars. Won't go on cycle.

5. Chicks of elite families are taken care by family men. They are treated like princess. So need not grasp worker's jobs.

Haha.. a doting orthodox father's ideology about his own sweet daughter.

My aunty made me sit on the cycle ride and brought home.

My grandfather came running. Removed drishti (evil eye of neighbors). My aunty suggested her strongly to remove for cycle also. She never spent that much dollars on cycle repairs.

That is the end of my awesome cycle learning.

3. For my 10-th birthday present I was given my cute new bicycle, a lovely English Raleigh 26-inch with a three-speed rear hub and hand brakes.

So this was pretty old model cycle which was used by my mother in his school days. And after him, my elder sister became the default owner of this. She love to ride and enjoyed it. Now it was my turn. But she decided not to help me. Because if I grasp, I will demand to ride and the bicycle here and there which was an annoying expectation for my newly learnt sister. So I decided to learn it by myself.

I called my friends and neighbors, those guys hold the bicycle. Then I sit on it and after certain circular rounds they leave the cycle completely in my control. When I begin losing control, they hold it again. ha ha ha. That was much of enjoyment.

I fell so many times from cycle and broke my knees. And then came the time I decided to make a deal with God ji. I made a deal of half Kg Laddu with God ji to make me learn awesome riding. Then after practicing much I grasp it anyway. All the credit was given to Almighty and half kg laddu was offered to him. :)

Best memory of early riding was to carry mustard and wheat to mill and bring it back in the form of oil and flour. I was not permitted to go to market directly by cycle. So these were litmus tests that I am being eligible to go anywhere by cycle. And good part was 2 Rupees / 5 rupees incentive for this. This signify a lot at that point of time.

4. In senior high, I rode everywhere - tens of miles a day, hundreds a month. If I was outside, I might be riding.

That included riding to job work.

So, there was this girl… I had a crazy crush on her, and she was more than hardly interested in me, but was all very restrained and proper. One day I walked her home from job work. I carried her novels and pushed my cycle and we held hands as we headed to her home.

On arriving, we sat on the balcony and talked for way too long, and I suddenly realized that i was almost late for being sweet home on time. Not to worry, I had my trusty cycle!

So I took off. There was a nearly straight path from her home to mine, but if I took that, it would be pretty obvious that I was climbing not to be late. However, if I took one street over, and slip in behind the home and emerge from the garage and everything would be chill. Of course, I took that another route.

The problem, which I had not foreseen, was this mountain on the final approach. As I sped down the mountain, I realized that I wanted to turn at the bottom, and that was probably not going to go so well.

And then the cycle fell on me. I didn’t break anything, but was bruised, had a huge amount of gravel stuck in my delicate skin, twisted an ankle, had tire tracks on my back. The works.

And I was quite late.

It turned out that the cycle was in fact totaled. Beyond the front wheel, the casting for the front brake was broken, and the frame lower cracked off the pedal hub. In one of those news things, I got a new cycle - but was grounded for several weeks.
