Best ever November...and not just the weather!

One of the brilliant things about specialising in B2B PR and content marketing is the variety and range of assignments you have the chance to work on. This has been a very exciting month project-wise, having started working with two new clients in very different sectors.

Such a diverse client base provides an opportunity to learn all sorts of interesting facts and gives us a chance to make connections between industries. In doing so, we can enrich the scope of work we do. I am thankful to have such interesting clients, to say that there’s never a dull moment is an understatement.

So, what did we work on this month?

Here is a brief snapshot of just some of the things keeping us out of mischief over the past 30 days:

#Post Budget 2018

The Budget before Brexit in late October included a lot more change than many experts predicted. We covered the event for our client, including a live Tweet chat on announcements as they took place, creating a significant amount of visibility.

As always with the Budget, the devil is in the detail.  We wrote additional blogs about some of the most significant changes – notably restrictions to entrepreneurs’ relief, the IR35 crackdown, new AIA tax reliefs – and produced the firm’s monthly e-newsletter for its clients.

In addition to securing press coverage with some of this content, we also managed their Twitter and Linked In, generating an ever-increasing volume of highly engaged website traffic from social sources.

#BlackFriday

A huge deal for the retail industry not to mention shoppers, we linked the Black Friday buzz with an important social issue - modern slavery. Working with our client and a not for profit, we helped to raise awareness among their target audience of this terrible problem.

Our research into some of the key trends became copy for an eye-catching infographic to complement the PR campaign. An article highlighting the warning signs of slavery in the workforce was placed with key publications, securing back links and additional visibility online and plus generating a large amount of interest and engagement on social media. The addition of the infographic and a blog ensured a more sustained interest in the topic.

We also secured the publication of one of this customer’s case studies in their most important magazine feature of the year. A great note to end on for a very busy month for them.

#Christmas parties

Where would we be without a party for the ultimate feel good factor? Our work with a brilliant bespoke events agency client brings a lighter, fun side to some of the projects we work on.

This month, amongst other things, we helped them promote one of their recent team-building projects and share their amazing expertise planning Christmas parties. We wrote articles on the ‘must have’ event trends for 2018, plus advised on ‘how to host the most amazing Christmas party at home’. The coverage was wide reaching and targeted a high net worth audience to reflect their customer base.

#EU Falsified Medicines Directive

Were you aware that over 1m people die each year because of falsified (fake) medicines? It’s the reason why all prescription medicines will be serialised from February 2019. Probably the biggest change facing the pharmacy sector for decades, we wrote two articles on key issues affecting this audience and outlining how to manage a key part of the new compliance requirements. One of these has already been placed into key publications, giving the client all important credibility and visibility, plus supporting their new product launch.

#State of project management

Our ongoing work for this technology client ensures they always have fresh content on their website that’s interesting and relevant for target customers. Plus using our media relations expertise we secure placements, giving them extra brand visibility. This month, our focus included writing 2 articles and a mini white paper on a range of project management related topics.

We covered everything from busting the myths surrounding agile, to the impact of digital transformation on the PMO and how to select a PPM solution. Apart from helping to generate inbound enquiries, blogs like these support their sales team with essential collateral.

A very busy and interesting month. Let’s see what December brings.
