The best digital marketing strategy - 'Consistency'
Option 1 : Posting exceptionally great content on social media for a short duration
Option 2 : Posting mediocre (not bad) content but doing it consistently over a long duration
Which one will you choose?
You might be tempted to go for option 1 but if you really want to see results with social media, option 2 is 'the' thing
Often times, we start well but lose steam midway -
We create 5-7 awesome emails to hit our list but soon find ourselves not having enough time to write good content, so we drop it completely
We write 10 awesome kickass blogs but that interest wanes soon
We try to update social media with fancy posts everyday but then there's lots of other things to do!
In all of this, perfection is the enemy!
We want every email, every post, every article to be the best. Alas, best is not what is needed. Consistency is.
Digital marketing is not a sprint. It's a marathon!
Look, as humans, we need multiple touch points to make that buying decision
You've got to be present in front of your prospect regularly to be noticed
I am not advocating mediocrity, but hey, don't look for perfection. That might be your biggest undoing.
Go ahead and put out what you think is right. If it works, great. If it doesn't, great. Either ways, you'll learn what works!
So, create a digital marketing strategy which will go the full circle for you
You don't have to be present on every platform. Choose platforms where you can last!
If you are playing the digital marketing game, the winner will always be the last man standing!
P.S - I wrote this article in 12 minutes. Doesn't matter if it's perfect or not. As long you reached this line :P
