The recent death of Bollywood Star Sushant Singh Rajpoot is creating a new wave of hopes for new one and old one who were harassed due to groupism and Nepotism . Nepotism is not a new thing happening in our society as it's happening everywhere. Covid19 already has changed the arithmetic of our world ranging from offline world to online, individual dressing and way of social greetings. Many people are losing their jobs, some already lost their jobs before the corona period, others are so feared to lose so they are working day/night to complete their assignments on time and please their immediate boss and upper level of organization as well. Time has come to rise above a level for humanity and saving our world and help poor one . There is a hierarchy of impact on society when a middle class employee loses his job, apart from his family ,other persons directly or indirectly involved with him also get impacted. During the corona epidemic, we are more inclined to help the lower section of society, we cannot do so because of our financial strain. My maid asked for help for her kitchen stuff, I helped her but ultimately my budget got upset and created a strange amount of distress and low self that cannot be described. It's very important to look around yourself and look for people to whom we can help instead of posting anger on Social media creating further void on the system.
1.If someone loses a job, some of his colleagues and friends know about him. Start doing non formal communication with them as they may be going through a difficult phase of life. If possible, start looking for opportunities happening near you, small rays of hope are always there for their momentum to go on.
2.If you are doing well in our life professionally and financially, always give helping hand to them for small financial crunches in their life. This help can be in form of short loan that can test their honesty and commitment as well. Later on further help can be done based on the experience of previous action.
3.Human Resource people can play a very important role in hiring , most importantly understanding the psychology of candidates. Impact of his job on his life , immediate family members most importantly emotional level depending upon the gap of employment , reason for leaving the job . In India, most people leave or have to lose their job on emotional present conditions like ill parents, other matrimonial issues as these things don’t happen in forign countries. In a strange incident of my hiring, HR did not offer me employment at the last level of interview as surety of candidate was doubtful as per HR due to reasonable package. HR doesn't think about the emotional level of hiring as it was hope for unemployed youth. What harm can be done to the Company if one loose company in a short period and required amount can be deducted on short notice level or delay of relieving letter.
4.Interviewers play a major role as sometimes they try to hire the next Einstein for their organization.They are the first gateways of someone for a new life and good learning environment. Many candidates do well post their hiring as some may be shy in interview and could not express them successfully .
5.Planned hiring process and sometimes a candidate is selected before publishing the job advertisement and interviews are done as per process to justify the selection of candidate . This process has pros and cons as well. If it's doing to give benefits to old employees working for many years to regularize, it's the right process . But if this process is done with the objective of favoritism, groupism and nepotism, then it's purely wrong.
6.Untrained employees who have lost their job should be given preference as they may be surviving at more difficult level as compared to non-hired one and hired one who are already in job. Overall working in the organization not only depends on knowledge level as it involves overall attitude of dealing with difficult situations and working with different teams and exposure in the corporate world has added advantage.
Start looking for people who need your immediate help, he can be your friend, colleague , neighbor, social media friend, relative , ex friend , senior or junior and enemy too and moral support from you to excel in life and surely once he gets settled he will surely help you in your difficult time . In this way we can help them fight with depression too. Long way to go as its initial phase of being human for helping human being.
