THE BEST CONTENT TO CREATE ON LINKEDIN AND WHY

THE BEST CONTENT TO CREATE ON LINKEDIN AND WHY

I am a big believer in producing some content is better than producing no content at all.

But when it comes to the best type of content to create, hands down, video will remain king for years to come.

Here is why:

1. Builds relationships quicker:

A video I think is the best way to present real-life situations to the target audience. Videos are immersive and make the audience forget about their own life and start relating to the situations presented to them.
Scientific studies have shown that our brain has these magical cells which make us want to imitate the people and situations around us. These cells are called mirror neurons. If you have ever wondered why you instinctively feel like laughing when your friends are laughing then it’s?because of these cells. Let’s take another example: Do you feel like you are jumping off the cliff when the protagonist in a video is jumping off the cliff? Yes, you do!
Why these cells are important for you as a marketer is because they fire in people watching videos.
The thrill is not in just observing the situation but in actually living it. It’s scientifically proven that you relate to characters and situations presented in a video because the mirror neurons in your brain become active. -Broadcast2world.com

2. Builds the "know, like, and trust.":

Something that we are always talking about. Something that we are always looking to achieve is credibility and trust with our audiences.

Credibility and trust are built over time, and when you have the ability to do a video on LinkedIn and educate and inform your audience on things that they need to know about what they do for a profession or the industry that they're a part of, people start to look at you with that notion of credibility and being that credible source where they're going to go and get their information.

?In addition, when trust is formed and when you have the trust of your audience, a whole new world is opened for you. Doing a video on LinkedIn just one time per week is going to earn you that credibility, and it's going to earn the trust of your network.

?So, they will come back to you repeatedly for more information.

3. Positions you as the expert:

?Something that I always tell people is to be a “salmon in a world of fish.” Go against the grain. Go against the current. Don't go with the flow, go against the flow. Carve your own path, blaze your own trail.

There are many people in the same space that you are in. Whether you're a coach, whether you're a consultant, whether you have a mastermind, or whether you're building an online business, there are other people out there just like you.

But what are you doing that's truly different from everyone else? What are you truly doing to separate yourself from the other people in your space?

Doing a video just once a week on LinkedIn does position you as the expert. You would like to be looked at not only as that credible source but as the expert in your space. Now many people consider themselves LinkedIn experts. Are they? I don't know.

They could be, but whenever I see someone calling themselves a LinkedIn expert, that is not doing all the things required to be an expert in your space, which is providing value-added content each day.

?Doing LinkedIn videos and never ever selling or pitching to your audience about a product, good, or service that you have is what I feel truly defines someone as an expert.

?When they're not doing those things, and when they're giving without expecting anything back in return while going live once a week on LinkedIn, where others in your space are not going live, it will position you as the expert in the space.

Are you committed to doing more videos on LinkedIn?

I remember when I never recorded (let alone posted) a video on social media. Now, it's what I do more than any other form of content. TikTok has changed the game regarding video. Now, most videos are short and vertical (how we all hold our phones!). I like this! I've seen some longer-form videos (in the past) where I thought that video should have been 90% shorter! Short videos force you to get to the point quickly. Tip: don't say your name, company name or website (no one cares about that in the beginning). Just provide value.

With the changing times of video being so much more prominent than the written word It would be nice to see LinkedIn increase its support of videos. I.e. Video Content requires 25 'different/unique' views in addition to the length of time video is viewed before giving you Viewer statistics. And then you're tossed 2 maybe 3 company names for all your time & effort that went into producing video content. I'm not paying a premium for 'vanity metrics' .. I'm looking for consistent lead / followers before reaching out to people. As one of their 'Gurus' I figured you would be able to explain this? Thanks.

My belief is many try to over complicate content and try to make it perfect so I love the fact you highlight that some content is better than none
