The Best Cars For Entrepreneurs!

Obviously, as entrepreneurs, one of the things we think about with cars is the tax advantage of larger cars, and that's a pretty straightforward equation, so if that’s right for you, then go for it.

But personally, I hate trucks and SUVs.

I think they’re awesome for other people; in fact, the great majority of my friends have at least one truck or SUV, but they’re not for me.

I had a Range Rover for a few years, and as great as it was, I hated every second of driving it because I’m a luxury sports car dude through and through.

But this is a big topic for a lot of entrepreneurs because most of us are always in the market for another cool car.

I completely understand the love for cars, in fact I built two when I was younger, so I've had an appreciation for cars ever since I was a teenager.

Obviously the cars I built were what I loved at the time: hot rods, so they had lift kits, high-rise manifolds, multiple carburetors, and obviously amazing stereos to play Led Zeppelin, so I could hopefully pickup a girl who was crazy enough to go for a quiet, unassuming geek like I was back then.

But some of my favorite cars in recent years are Mercedes and BMWs, as well as Fisker Rōnin, the McLaren Senna, and the Aston Martin DBS.

Right now, I'm a big Porsche guy, and that’s my favorite to drive, but when I'm looking at a car, just like when most other entrepreneurs I know are looking at cars, they’re looking for something that isn't just a tax write-off, something that's going to be reliable, or something that’s not JUST going to help you transport what you need to transport.

The number one thing entrepreneurs look for in a car is how that car makes them feel when they're in it, because all day, every day you, as an entrepreneur, have 1000 reasons to doubt yourself and the decisions you're making.?

I don't care how confident you are or how confident you want people to think you are… every entrepreneur needs a few things in their life that anchor them into the reality of success.

For some men, that's a watch; for some women, it's a piece of jewelry that, when they put it on, reminds them of how successful they are, so they feel more confident, and they move differently and make better decisions throughout the day just because they might be wearing it.

For other entrepreneurs, it might be how big or luxurious their offices are or something else they see and experience almost every day that helps reset that feeling of success inside of them without them having to do anything or think about anything else.

Because as entrepreneurs, we have way too many things to think about and often, especially during growth mode, we forget to reinforce our own confidence.

For a lot of entrepreneurs, a car is one of those reminders in their lives, so when most entrepreneurs are looking for cars, the main determining factor is how they feel when they're driving their car, or when they're walking out of a restaurant or walking out of their office, and they’re in the parking lot and walking towards that shiny, nice car.

Successful people need a lot of things in their lives that automatically make them feel more confident and subconsciously make them feel like the leader they need to be, not for where they are today but for where they are going in their business and personal lives.
