Businesses and Teams
Hi LinkedIn Fam,
Its been a great journey of life with all the ups and downs. From being an employee to now being an young business owner, I tried drafting this article from both business owner's as well as?employees perspective.?
THIS ARTICLE IS A SMALL SUMMARY ON HOW A GOOD TEAM INFLUENCE BUSINESS AND HOW THE MOST EFFECIENT TEAMS LOOKS LIKE.?
"Great things in business are never done by one person. They're done by a team of people." Steve Jobs
Love is a better motivator than fear in business. So when you eliminate fear from your organization, great things happen.
People working in teams tend to achieve better results and report higher job satisfaction. Profitability increases when workers are persuaded to collaborate more. A company needs to influence not only how people work but also how they work together.
So, what can teams do to ensure that they are collectively productive and drive their company forward? Here are a few qualities that a successful team should possess.
GOOD LEADERSHIP
A strong team usually has a leader that they trust and respect. This individual essentially works as the glue holding the team together and should be responsible for setting the pace, offers encouragement and motivation and keeps all members of the team updated.
COMMUNICATE PROACTIVELY
Teams which are proactive then being reactive tends to do well irrespective of the matter in hand. They communicate openly with each other, sharing their thoughts, opinions and ideas with members of their team, as well as taking into consideration what others have to say. Communication is essential for keeping track of progress and working together efficiently on tasks. Poor communication can lead to crossed wires, that can mean work is left incomplete/incorrect or conflicts can arise.
FOCUS ON GOALS AND RESULTS
Team members need to have common goals and shared ambitions in order to be as efficient as possible.
The team must agree on and set team goals based on outcomes and results, rather than just on the amount of work being done. A clear plan can then be set about how they are going to achieve these objectives, as a group, as well as each individual’s contribution. This provides them with clear direction and gives them something to aim for collectively.

ABILITY TO ADAPT
While it's important to have a clarity of roles but team members should be willing to cross lines of responsibility and do something that may not be in their job description, if that is what’s required to get the job done.
Best teams are those where all members take responsibility for their own tasks as well as the overall completion of the goal.
FAIR CONTRUBUTION
Each member of the team contributes their fair share of the workload and fully understands what their responsibilities with the running of the business. Successful team members really care about the success of the company.
SUPPORTING EACH OTHER
Effective teams possess not only technical skills, but also emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence is more important than the IQ of each team member. It turns out that if individuals are socially aware, the whole group puts in better quality work.
DIVERSITY IN THE GROUP
The right members bring a diversity of thought, experience and skills to a team. Diversity is needed so that all of the required skills are covered by somebody in the team and each individual can be assigned a particular role on the basis of their strengths and skills. A variety of personalities, age groups, cultures, etc. can also bring creativity and a broad range of ideas to the table.
Would love to know your thoughts.?
