NO not those kind of shorts!
We're talking about story shorts!
Telling a short story is an art on its own – and can be even more challenging when writing or filming one.? ?For the past five years, The Horsham Film Festival has celebrated the art of short filmmaking, and showcased the best of British short films produced over the year.? ?
Besides telling a good short story, making a short film has a practical side.? Short films?give filmmakers the opportunity to get themselves and their projects in front of studios - and they give studios the opportunity to discover new talent and new material. ?And there was a LOT of talent in Horsham this year!?
“We received more entries than any year before – a total of almost 200 films, which is fantastic to see!” says Film & Video Producer Geoff Cockwill of SILVERTIP FILMS, who started the festival five years ago.?
Three screenings were held at the Everyman Cinema in Horsham this year, showcasing all the shortlisted films.? The festival culminated in an?Awards Night, which featured all the winning films in full.? ?
And here are the winners, folks!??
