The Best Apps for Working From Home

Working from home has been a way of life for many of us since March 2020, while some people have been working from home all along, given their roles. In either case, this practice can be a blessing or a curse. You need to deal with distractions and noise while still communicating with your coworkers, staff, or clients. Ultimately, we want to be productive. Here are a few suggested apps to get you through the workday.
Bear
If you are the type of person that writes notes to yourself, and they end up everywhere (Post-its, scraps of paper, in random apps on your laptop or phone), then Bear is for you. This app allows you to organize these notes across your tablet, phone, and computer. With Bear, you can keep all your notes in sync and, better yet, make them searchable. The app’s pleasant design even makes them look good, so they are a joy to read.
Calendly
Calendly makes it really easy to schedule meetings without the back and forth of emails. Instead of wasting hours, or even days, trying to match schedules, simply send your calendar link to the person you want to meet with and they will select the time that works best for them. Talk about taking the hassle out of scheduling meetings.
Clockify
Time tracking tools are increasingly popular, and for those situations where you need to track billable hours, Clockify is a gem. This app is unique, as it’s free and allows for unlimited users and projects. Clockify also offers optional upgrades featuring advanced functionality, like the ability to hide things from certain users or add your branding to reports. This tool provides a great look at how you spend your time.
Freedom
When work involves using a computer, one of the biggest distractions is the internet.? Unfortunately, you can’t always shut it down, especially when you need to connect to a remote network or communicate with coworkers or clients. However, if you want to limit the most time-consuming distractions from your screen and focus on more immediate tasks, you can set Freedom to block the distracting sites across all your devices for any specific time period.

Noisli
If you are looking to create a serene space in which to work, using Noisli is an option for you. This app allows you hear a pleasant sound as your audio backdrop, such as rain, thunder, the forest, or some combination of the app’s twenty-eight offerings. Stream Noisli through your speakers or use it with your earbuds to drown out the sound of the dog barking, the traffic outside your window, or any other annoying noises so that you can focus on work.
This isn’t a complete list of all the apps that can help improve your productivity, but I would urge you to check them out to see if they can help you do what you do and grow your business.
