With more and more people choosing to work flexibly, it’s important to have the right tools in your kit if you want to make the most of your new-found control.
Here we’ve compiled a list of some of our favourite apps that complement your increasingly flexible lifestyle.
Citymapper
Get where you need to be, quick and on time
If you’re not using Citymapper and you live in somewhere that has access to it (that’s London, Manchester and Birmingham in England), you’re missing out. Truly. It’s a game changer.
This clever little mapping app does more than get you from A to B. Simply type in your destination and start point and it generates a comprehensive list of routes with different modes of transport and a very accurate ETA.
But wait! There’s more! Among countless other features, it also tells you the cost of each journey, is integrated with Uber, has up-to-date information from transport services like TFL, and (if you’re feeling a little whimsical), it even lets you know how long it takes to be catapulted to your destination – we’re obviously big fans of this feature.
Citymapper is highly reliable AND free so you can be confident you’ll get to shift on time. Plus, it works in cities all over the world. What more could you want?
Wally
Budget, spend save
?Whether you’re saving for a trip or simply managing your expenses, an app like Wally – or any good budgeting apps – can make managing your finances instant and simple. With Wally, you’ll receive a notification when you have a payment coming up, and you can photograph receipts to manage your expenses and track your spending.
Top feature: Wally uses your phone’s location services to pinpoint exactly where you’re spending the most money, which is incredibly helpful if you’re trying to save pennies.
Wally’s is one of the better money management apps available. It’s free and works with iPhone and Android.
ClassPass
Stay fit and flexibleIf you’re a fitness fanatic, working at a range of different locations can make planning a gym session tricky. The great thing about ClassPass is that it gives you access to fitness studios all over the place.
Operating as a membership, you can choose to book from a huge range of classes including dance, yoga, martial arts, spin and much more. You can even book gym time if you’d rather set your own fitness program.
Plus, it’s available in cities all over the world so you can stay active on your next trip abroad!
Catapult app
A more awesome way to work
If you’ve haven’t gotten around to joining Catapult, now’s the time! All it takes is a quick survey and an induction at our head office to get your profile live. Once you’re accepted, our app sends shifts straight to your phone so you can accept and reject as you see fit – giving you the power to work when and where you want.
