The Best of 2023 in Quotes
Happy Holidays! Whatever you celebrate during this holiday season, we hope it’s an enjoyable celebration with loved ones.
This month’s edition shares our favorite quotes on leadership from 2023.
Notes on Quotes
For over 13 years, I’ve kept a Notes file on my iPhone full of quotes I love (a nice upgrade from the tattered notebooks they previously called home). That Notes file is now so large that it’s virtually unmanageable.
I’m obviously a quote hoarder. Most come from books or articles. Some are from speakers at conferences or TED Talks I’ve watched. My favorite quotes are from conversations with wise friends and colleagues. But they all make it into the file because “…it is a joy to find thoughts one might have, beautifully expressed with much authority by someone recognized wiser than oneself,” as the late Marlene Dietrich eloquently put it.
There’s a new source that dominates the 2023 entries: social media posts. More specifically, LinkedIn.
We thought sharing some of our favorite posts might make for a more interesting end-of-year newsletter. If you’re a fellow quote hoarder, we hope some of our selections make it onto your list, too. And give these accounts a follow--their thought leadership is worth your time.
Finally, thank you for being loyal readers, fantastic followers, and dream clients in 2023. All of us at Leadership & Co. are grateful for your collaboration and partnership!
