Bespoke is the new "mass-produced"

AI Is ready to ruin everything from education to manufacturing (and we’re here for it)
Okay, everyone, it is time to wave goodbye to mass production as we know it. And that is because AI just kicked down the door like a SWAT team member, and is here to personalize literally everything. Mass-produced cars, clothes, and even education. Yuup, all that is about to go the way of Blockbuster video rental, and dial-up internet.
So peeps: welcome to the age where every thang is all personal, baby.
Before we start!
If you like this topic and you want to support me:
Mass production was fun while it lasted
Look, I’m not here to say that mass production is all sunshine and rainbows, right.
It was just a thang, like your old flip phone, it was functional but outdated.
But the real question is: can it survive now that we’re all obsessed with having custom everything? Because us, the people, we are tired of brands who are treating everyone the same.
Yep, no one wants to be just another number in the Oompa Loompa chocolate factory.
Now, I know some of you are clutching your Six Sigma certificates, and you are reminiscing about how mass production once brought efficiency to its knees. And that mass personalization is just a fad...
But guess what's coming to your doorstep y'all: AI is here to swoop in and wreck that party with something called hyper-personalization, because, apparently, "bespoke" is the new "mass-produced".
Umm.. this is not the first time I wrote about this stuff, so if you want to catch up, feel free to click:
Personalization gone wild
AI is not just going to mess up your manufacturing plants, dear sigma lovers.
Nope, it’s going all out and flipping entire industries on their heads. Because manufacturing has been stuck in the same rut for 50 years.
AI, is like, I'm ready to revamp everything from education to gaming.
Yep, also gaming will become hyper personalized.
This guy, Kaveh Vahdat of RiseAngle says that AI is going to let every player have a completely different experience in the same game world.
How fun!
Now you and your friend can play the same game but argue over who got the better storyline.
Oh, I nearly forgot education.

Forget about cookie-cutter classrooms where every student gets the same curriculum.
AI will make sure that every kid has a chatbot that teaches them history, the birds and the bees, and physics, and also tailors the lesson to their learning style.
So what will become of the SAT? Because who needs standardized tests when your AI tutor can talk to you like a Netflix special?
Please don’t throw away the assembly line just yet
Hold on, you over zealous operational directors. Don’t start dismantling the factory robots.
Farès Sakka at Orange Business is here to remind you that AI could actually boost mass production before it kills it.
Think of Industry 4.0 as the final glow-up for the traditional assembly line: AI-driven efficiency, fewer breakdowns, and maybe even fewer workers, because who needs humans when robots can also personalize the products for us? (read my dystopian article about the future of humanoid robots)
It seems like mass production’s going to have its last hurrah before AI rolls in and replaces it with custom everything.
So... Is mass production like, dead?
Not quite yet.
But face it, the clock is ticking.
Scarlett Sieber from Money20/20 says that AI is basically redefining mass production into mass personalization. Financial products, loans, credit cards, they’re all getting hyper-customized for the masses. Think of it as "mass production, but make it fashion."
Venu Moola (I like his name: "gimme the moola" !), he is the CEO of Fleet Studio, says that AI will open up new markets by offering software solutions so niche, even your oddly specific Etsy shop could have its own custom app.
So, yeah, AI is shaking up industries one step at a time. It’s going to personalize everything from your next pair of jeans to how you learn algebra. And to be honest, mass production got us to where we are now: efficient, repetitive, and boring, and AI is now about to steal the show by giving us personalized experiences at scale.
Sure, there will be challenges (hello, job displacement and privacy concerns), but come on, who doesn’t want their own custom everything?
So go ahead, enjoy your last mass-produced black T-Ford and your one-size-fits-all education, because the future is personalized, and AI is driving the bus.

4 周Marco your take on AI revolutionizing industries through hyper-personalization is spot on! I fully agree that we’re witnessing the shift from one-size-fits-all to custom experiences at scale, with AI leading the charge. Mass production may have driven us to this point, but in today’s world, consumers crave uniqueness - and AI's ability to deliver tailored solutions is poised to satisfy that demand across sectors. From manufacturing to education, it's not just about efficiency anymore; it's about relevance and creating individualized experiences. The thought of personalized learning environments and bespoke gaming adventures is exciting, signaling that we’re stepping into an era where technology can adapt to us rather than us adapting to it. While the transition will bring challenges, like job displacement and privacy issues, the promise of a more customized and responsive future is too compelling to ignore. Thank you for sharing your insights, and I’m looking forward to the next episode!????
