MAXWELL AIR FORCE BASE-GUNTER ANNEX, AL (May 10, 2023) -- Business and Enterprise Systems Product INnovation (BESPIN) has teamed up with the Business and Enterprise Systems (BES) operations division to provide a Robotic Process Automation (RPA) training event taking place June 6-7 at the Collaboration Space in downtown Montgomery, AL. to grow a stronger Air Force through education, training, and collaboration.?
The RPA training event, also known as the RPA Roadshow, is hosted by the Air Force Bot Operations Team (DAFBOT) in an effort to speed up large workflows.
“This is a great event for the BESPIN team and Air Force to use automations that can save time and energy for personnel that would normally accomplish these tasks manually,” said BESPIN Chief Operating Officer (COO), Lt. Col. Tyler Hough. “The RPA event will give students a chance to build their own automated bots throughout the course, so we are excited to see what bots are created and how they can benefit BESPIN and the Air Force.”
RPA is a tool to automate tedious, repetitive, and/or lengthy tasks by repeating actions through the system’s user interface, just like a regular human user would. This is especially valuable to highly regulated activities such as contracting, acquisitions, and human resource systems that have very specific ways they are required to be handled.

“Automation has such a big impact in different ways throughout the Air Force, so I think that it is important for our Airmen to learn more about it,” said 2nd Lt. Felicity Taylor, BESPIN RPA Lead. “I think that the RPA Roadshow with BESPIN is an amazing opportunity for our Airmen to learn about the benefits of automation from experts within our own organization. I am excited to see what our Airmen learn and the creative ideas that come out of this event!”
RPA aims to expedite delivery of key products and services, reduce the opportunities for human error due to repetition fatigue during data entry or transcription, and give time back to the individual. DAFBOT has been giving this training at Air and Space Force Bases across the US and would now like to offer it to our own folks here at the BES Directorate.
This event is open to anyone in the BES enterprise directorate including Military, Government Civilian, or Contractors.?
