Berkeley Haas Alumni Reunion Weekend 2024
Felt tempted to share some reflections on an invigorating and memorable Alumni Reunion weekend spent on-campus at my alma mater University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business on 27th-28 April! Reconnecting with b-school class-mates & our alumni relations team and getting to attend a couple of lectures with our rockstar Professors Gregory LaBlanc and Dr. Sameer Srivastava brought back such fond memories of the inspirational times I have spent at this amazing place!
The Alumni Story Salon was one of the highlights of the event, bringing forth some of the best examples out of our community and showcased how the Haas b-school community is not just about the bottom line, profits and strategy! Business is a phenomenal vehicle for value creation and for maximising human potential for innovation in areas as wide ranging as DEI, clean energy, wildlife conservation, community well-being and more!
While reminiscing about the good times was priceless, for me personally, going back on-campus is equally about refuelling myself with the 'Cal Spirit' and reaffirming my personal commitment to our Defining Leadership Principles at Haas!
An academic and spiritual retreat of sorts that re-energises me to stay a #StudentAlways, to think and act #BeyondMyself, to #ChallengeTheStatusQuo constructively and exhibit #ConfidenceWithoutAttitude in face of whatever challenges life throws at me!

The narratives of the six Haas alums who shared their personal journeys in the #HaasStorySalon were inspiring. Carmen Palafox EMBA-14; Adrienne Hogg BS-86/EWMBA94; Kris Cuaresma-Primm MBA-14; Omar Garriott MBA-09; Steve Peletz BS-83/MBA-99; and Tracy Baldwin BCEMBA-04 left us a common message of the importance of #Connections and #CreatingCommunity that leverage the power of the Alumni network. Throughout the sessions, living the #HaasGuidingPrinciples was a theme that reminded us of why Berkeley-Haas has been such an important part of our lives. The Reunion Socials at the top of Memorial Stadium was a befitting end to a day of #learning and #reconnecting with fellow alums with a beautiful view of the Campanile and sunset over San Francisco Bay.
