Benzer Bits: “It’s What We Do that Makes Us Who We Are”
At this stage in Benzer Pharmacy’s expansion efforts, it’s natural to expect some growing pains, especially given how quickly we’ve grown. In large part, we’ve made it our mission to establish our company in places often underserved by the big names. As a result, the change understandably represents a bit of an adjustment period for people who are seeing us for the first time.
Believe it or not, that goes both ways.
But, not necessarily, in the way, you might think.
When we enter a new community, we bring with us a passion for innovation, and for appealing to a new generation of customers who are growing more comfortable with technology, e.g., using mobile devices to interact with pharmacists and telemedicine to hold conversations with physicians about prescribing choices and other treatment decisions. And yet, despite the push toward being more tech-centric, we believe the best collaborations still happen in person.
Given those conditions, a newly minted Benzer location never changes what it’s known for; it only changes the name it’s known by.
Personal engagement on a one-to-one basis remains the common thread that applies to everyone—even for those partners with a talent for tech and integrating those pieces into a more cohesive framework. Historically, getting up to speed has been challenging, but we’ve found that allowing the shift to happen organically plays a big part in improving service across the board.
It’s what we do.
And that’s what makes us who we are.

5 年Well written Meghann. In today's situation where healthcare transparency is often debated, personal engagement is although the old way but still the most modest way to build compassion and relationship. Tech can only be an enabler but can never replace the human touch. #gobenzer
