The acronym SWIFT stands for Startups, Workforce, Innovation, Finance, and Technology — a blueprint for the city’s core identity. Envisioned as Karnataka’s third major planned industrial hub after the iconic Electronic City and ITPL, SWIFT City will cater to the evolving needs of startups, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and global tech giants. Its strategic location near National Highways 44 and 48 places it within arm’s reach of Bengaluru’s IT ecosystem, making it an attractive destination for investors.

Already Sarjapur and parts of South Bangalore are getting a rapid boost because of the proposed Hosur Airport, as well as the plan of Karnataka's own second airport.
