BENEFITS OF A SNOW CONTRACT WITH FLOOR AND CEILING LIMITS

Hiring a reliable snow contractor can be tricky. Snow is unpredictable and can cause major problems for property owners if they don't have a contractor looking out for the best interest of their property.?E.A. Quinn?has developed a system for snow contracts that helps protect you. As a property owner, you need a snow contractor that has taken critical steps to ensure your property, employees, and clients are safe while on site. Below are some of the benefits of a snow contract with floor and ceiling snow limits.

WHAT IS A FLOOR AND CEILING SNOW CONTRACT?

Depending on the location of the property,?E.A. Quinn?will research the average snow fall for the area within the last 20 years. We do this through the National Weather Service. Then we offer a price dependent on an average snowfall window. If the snowfall for the season is within the average snow fall window, the property owners pay the contract price. If at the end of the season the snow fall total is less than the average snow fall window, the owner is credited an agreed upon rate per inch?down?to a certain amount (floor). If the snow fall is above the average snow fall window, the owner is charged an agreed upon rate per inch?up?to a certain amount (ceiling). This is commonly known as a?floor and ceiling contract.?

HIGHER LEVEL OF PROTECTION

The floor and ceiling contract offers a much higher level of protection for the property owner. During a light winter, money is refunded to the client if there isn't the expected amount of snow. During a heavy winter, although there is an added cost for property owners, it goes toward additional resources and materials needed to keep properties clear and safe. The good news is that the ceiling will?allow property owners or managers to budget more accurately?for the snow season.?E.A. Quinn?continually checks and updates snow removal equipment, adds extra personnel, and operates a seamless system in the event of a snowstorm.

CRITICAL ACTIONS OF A REPUTABLE SNOW CONTRACTOR

If a snow contractor is taking steps to prepare for a storm, it's a sign that they are reputable and will protect your property. The?E.A. Quinn?snow team installs stakes to ensure the edges of a property are not damaged during snow removal. Caution signs are added at property entrances to alert visitors of potentially icy conditions. Prior to the storm, the team inspects the entire property to catch potential issues that could create dangerous conditions during snow season (Ex: leaky gutters or overhanging branches). Then we develop a customized snow management plan that includes instructions on where snow will be piled during the storm. Understanding the entire property is something we take very seriously because this helps lessen your liability. Always make sure your contractor has your back and is taking these critical actions to ensure safety of your employees and visitors.?

PRAISE FROM CLIENTS

"Post University started to work with E.A. Quinn?in 2019 with a redesign of the entire upper campus. E.A. Quinn had terrific ideas on how to use the natural landscape and incorporate the university colors into the final design. The academic buildings were renovated first and what an incredible transformation E.A. Quinn was able to accomplish. The students and associates couldn’t believe the difference. The residence halls followed with new seating areas and landscaping throughout. It's amazing what a different feeling the university has taken on since E.A. Quinn took on the project and continues to work on the campus maintaining it! Post University loves working with E.A Quinn., the flexibility to work in a campus atmosphere, the knowledge and dedication to the university’s needs, and the timeliness of the work. Post will continue to work with E.A. Quinn and their amazing staff on all upcoming projects?in the future."
