The Benefits of Rejection

The Benefits of Rejection

Facing rejection on a daily basis can be an incredibly challenging experience. Whether it’s in personal relationships, professional endeavors, or even pursuing our passions, the sting of rejection can leave us feeling discouraged, disheartened, and even questioning our self-worth. However, it’s important to remember that facing rejection is a natural part of life, and learning how to cope with it can lead to personal growth and resilience.

Something similar was experienced by a famous international Salsa dance Ms. Madna Gopal. She talked about it a greater length in her TED talk.

Have a look and enjoy connecting.

Good Day !!

If mindfulness is being practiced by the one who rejects as well as the one who is being rejected, it might become a lot less painful. Having said that, facing rejection on a daily basis is not sustainable - I am sure there are a plethora of studies that measure the impact of constant rejection on the rewiring of the brain. A big reason, I believe is the humungous flow of information today. If a person is inundated with decision making choices beyond his capacity, he might end up rejecting more than accepting - simply because of decision making fatigue. And yet, we all work relentlessly to seek acceptance and validation more than rejection.
