Inbound marketing and content marketing contribute to an integral digital marketing strategy. By creating valuable content, optimizing for search engines, and focusing on customer needs, digital marketers can build a strong online presence, attract the right audience, and drive meaningful engagement and conversions.

What is inbound marketing?

Inbound marketing is a digital marketing method use to help built and maintain positive lasting relationship with consumers. Rather than interrupting them through traditional advertising methods. The focus is on appreciating and empowering individuals, supporting them in achieving their goals at any point in their journey with your organization.

Inbound marketing consists of three stages. Attract, engage, and delight. Attract is drawing in the right people with valuable content and conversations that set you up as a trusted advisor. To attract your audience members on a deeper level through inbound marketing, optimize all this content with an SEO Target specific keywords and phrases related to your products or services, the challenges you solve for customers, and the ways you help customers. Engage is presenting?insights and solutions that align with their pain points and goals, so they are more likely to buy from you.?Delight is offering help and support to empower your customers to find success with your product.?Delight strategy can be through surveys, customer service, by getting feedback and making improvements helps retain customers.

The three stages can grow your business if you apply the Flywheel model. The attract stage consist of strangers, the engage stage involves prospect and customers, and the delight stage includes promoters.

What is content marketing?

Content marketing is the creation and delivering online content (example; this blog) to provide information that is valuable and helpful to the audience, ultimately building trust, brand awareness, and driving profitable customer action. Few examples of software that helps marketer execute content marketing include WordPress, Canva, Hotjar, and Buzz Sumo.

Examples of content marketing include blog posts, articles, videos, infographics, podcasts, social media posts, and more. Successful content marketing strategies involve understanding the target audience, creating content that aligns with their interests, and delivering it through the appropriate channels to achieve marketing goals.

The way an organization deliver content to its consumer depends on the psychographic of your customers. If your audience engage and converge more with YouTube videos, then releasing videos that your audience wants should be your business content strategy. Keep in mind publishing content at the highest frequency does not equal more conversion or engagement. It’s about interacting with your followers in real time, use creative and animated gifs to capture your audience attention.

How to execute inbound & content marketing?

There are many tools available to help you create and share your campaign. First is Martech Stack which is a marketing technology that marketer use to execute elements of their marketing campaign, and from social media management to search engine optimization. Drip a strategy in digital marketing that involves sending a series of pre-scheduled, automated messages to leads or customers over a specific period. The primary goal of drip marketing is to nurture leads, guide them through the sales funnel, and ultimately convert them into customers. Marketo a marketing automation platform that provides a suite of tools and solutions to help businesses streamline and automate their marketing processes. Marketo is known for its comprehensive capabilities in lead management, email marketing, analytics, and other aspects of digital marketing.

There are many other tools such as Trello, Slack, Google analytics, HubSpot, etc that can help an organization improve their processes, attract and retain customers.

Understanding your buyer journey is important to successfully deliver the correct marketing strategy It enables marketers to deliver the right content to the right audience at the right time, fostering meaningful relationships and guiding potential customers toward making informed purchasing decisions. The best way to do that is attribution which is interactions a person or group took along their journey towards a desire outcome or conversion point. Attribution reports allows creator to pinpoint the content that influenced people to progress through their buyer’s journey and the content that did not.
