Our client was founded almost 100 years ago as a reputable, full service Insurance brokerage offering Personal, Commercial and Group Benefits lines of insurance. They have a fast growing office, experienced leadership, and an attractive culture that’s collaborative, focused on technology, has experience managing people and things in a blended “in office” and remote environment for many years before the pandemic.

Their business has teams that focus on Small, Mid & Large Market business.

This role is that of a Benefits Account Executive role. This role in particular has been done 60% in your home office (remote) and about 40% meeting in office or with clients to create and maintain culture, learn, focus on working together, as well as coaching and mentoring and all the stuff that is great about working with good people.

In this role you’ll focus on mostly on using your Client-facing Consulting skills while managing a book of business. You’ll have the help of a few account managers to do the daily tasks included on servicing the book when it comes to day to day needs, but the overall responsibility for oversight on the renewals, remarketing, carrier negotiations, etc. is something you’ll oversee. Any pre-renewal meetings, consulting on plan changes, quotes and presentations will be done by you, as this is a house book of business. You’ll also consult with perspective cross sales, and any business you generate from referrals, etc. - - - earning a commission split on first year business, as well as bonuses for hitting and exceeding goals.

This is a true blended service and sales role. An ideal candidate would at least 7+ years managing benefits accounts. This is a commission driven sales role, the primary focus in on servicing the block of business, and sales coming from referrals, centers of influence, and cross sales, etc… This is NOT a cold calling role.

Compensation includes a competitive base salary, bonuses and annual profit sharing.

Job Responsibilities

- Manage the renewal process for a Full & Self Insured book of business

- Carrier Negotiations

- Consult on Plan Design Changes

- Collaborate to manage book of business

- Cross sell, upsell and seek referral business

Ideal Qualifications

- 7+ years of Benefits Account Management Experience

- Experience Consulting on Plan Design

- Independent Broker Background

- Experience with Fully Funded Plans (Level and Self Funded experience would be a huge bonus, but is not necessary)

Compensation will be competitive DOE, and includes an attractive, employer paid Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, & PTO packages.?
