Beneath the Snow

One of my Dad's favourite songs was The Rose by Bette Midler. 20 years after his passing onto the Next Realm, I still find the song layered in its Wisdom. It speaks to the indomitable nature of real and enduring Love. It speaks and sings to Patience, Endurance and the Strength that is indeed (and in deed) Love.
The Rose
Pondering on Rose of Love
For me, Winter is not bitter, but it is a time for consolidation, before expansion. It is one of the realities and lessons of nature. That in mind and heart, I ponder:
I ponder the learning to Live. And I ponder the remembrance that "in the winter far beneath the bitter snows... lies the seed that with the sun's love ... in the spring becomes the rose".
‘Abdu’l-Bahá remined us that "In the Gospel it is said God is Love." If you think about it, it is The Force. It is The Way.
Life matters and has meaning. Ours and others. And, if we are to bring it... to Life... if we are to reach for our own better, meant... then the practice of Character matters. Our Studentry matters. Our sense of Dedication matters.
Most of all Love matters. In Life and Work and Service; it matters. Loving what we do and with whom we do it, matters. It is The Force... and The Way. Beneath the snow, something is already happening. At home, school, work, business, play and community... Love matters... and it is but a matter of time.
Indeed, may the Force be with Us All.
Thanks Dad, for the reminder.
Justice, Peace and Unity...
