Bench marking.... why the hell not!!!

Quality over quantity? Cost or value? These are questions you might ask potential clients and rightly so!

There are too many reasons why clients should look at working with more than one company. Now I know this might seem ridiculous, but I promise you it’s not.

Put yourself in this situation. You are a cover manager at a school. You have been working with the same agency for years and years so dealing with them becomes very convenient and easy more than anything, right? Well to a certain extend you might be. However, with that guarantee, there comes an underlying complacency. If the company you have decided to partner up with ‘rest on their laurels’, then they might have the mind set you will never look elsewhere, potentially leaving you with the cheaper and less effective staff or ever worse the ‘leftovers’. Hence, bench marking.

Seriously, at this point as your self this question. When you get an email offering you a discount off a product that you need or want, do you ignore this, or do you have a look at the product? Chances are you have a look at the very minimum and there might every possibility you have never shopped there before. This doesn’t mean you are being un-loyal to the shops you usually go to, but it will show you two things: Are you being ripped off and does your regular ‘go to’ offer you everything you need.

Bench marking is crucial in all walks of life, whether this is bench marking against your own fitness regimes to your regular supermarket. The only way to check you are getting EXACTLY what you are getting is to bench mark. There is no other alternative.
