Ben Franklin started this. It's still extremely powerful

I’ve been a member of various mastermind groups over the years.?

I’m sure you’re familiar with the concept of peer to peer mentoring groups, in which members solve their problems with input and advice from other group members.???

I thought it was a relatively new concept, but turns out the first official peer group was formed by Ben Franklin and was called the Junto Group. It had 12 members, met weekly and lasted 38 years.???

?? President Theodore Roosevelt started his own mastermind group at age 42 when he took the oval office.?

?? In 1921 President Harding was part of The Vagabonds mastermind group consisting of Thomas Edison, Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone.

?? In 1937, Napoleon Hill coined the “Mastermind” concept in his book Think And Grow Rich.

?? More recently, people including Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Jay Abraham, Richard Branson, Oprah and Charles Schwab have all said they’ve benefited from being a part of a mastermind group.

I share this with you partly because I think it’s interesting, but more importantly to stress that peer-to-peer mentoring groups are a powerful means by which to share ideas, receive feedback and get the support you need in order to grow your business. ??

As I said, I’ve been a member of a few mastermind groups over the years.?

While they all were valuable, some were definitely better than others.

The ones that I found the most beneficial were…

???Smart People working on the same issues:??Obviously you want your fellow members to be people who can provide you with value-added thinking. You also want to make sure that the issues that are being discussed are relevant to you.

One of the less effective masterminds I joined, didn’t have a singular focus.?

One moment we’d be talking about staffing, the next finance, the next office space… Although the group was nice and smart, they were mostly working on challenges I just didn’t have.

??The Affluent Marketing Inner Circle Mastermind is laser focused on how to attract more wealthy prospects, and then turn large percentages of them into paying clients. That’s it.???

???Frequent: I’ve been a member of groups that met twice a month, monthly, quarterly and bi annually.?

By far, the twice a month format worked the best. Meetings were close enough together so that we could provide additional thinking and ideas to what was discussed a short time ago.?

Bi-monthly meetings ensured members were held accountable for doing what they said they were going to do. Everyone needs periodic support and nudging that ensures you do what you said you were going to do.

??The Affluent Marketing Inner Circle Mastermind meets twice a month on zoom. Members are encouraged to reach out directly to each other with specific questions, introductions or simply to bounce ideas between meetings.

The history and value of Masterminds is well documented.

If you’ve been looking for a group that can provide you with smart insights into marketing your business…one that is focused on the affluent market (because why would anyone want to sell to poor people?)…one that gives you support and encouragement…then…

You should join my Affluent Marketing Inner Circle Mastermind.
