Below the Surface, December 2022
In this update we're sharing the following,
What are highway bond coats?
Highway bond coats, also known as tack coats, are used to stick an asphalt overlay to an asphalt substrate.?
The construction of roads generally involves layering different materials on top of each other to create a hardwearing and resilient surface course.?
However, if the layers are not ‘stuck’ together effectively enough then the surface can ‘slip’ or become damaged.
Specialists in highway asphalt bonding
Depending on the application BituChem produce a range of emulsions suitable for bond coating, each having different properties for different purposes.

Update on tree planting and commitment to CO2 offset
As part of our ongoing environmental initiatives - we've previously talked about NatraTex Eco and our electric vehicles - is tree planting.
And we're delighted to advise that a total of 1,320 trees across the Group have led to a CO2 offset of 220.11 tonnes.
We've got a way to go, but we're proud that we've made this impact to build upon.
