It is first ever Virtual World Congress of ISUOG. As an annual delegate to this important yearly event. I registered to attend.
Upon the beginning I messaged a close friend of mine who used to attend regularly with me. " Hey Buddy! Which hall are you in? Shall we meet by some booth in the Exhibition Hall?"
She surprisingly answered: " I am not attending this year. There are so many free scientific and good quality webinars that I feel overwhelmed!"
She is right about free webinars which are a good part of the pandemic, bringing science to every single personal room freely and promoting equity. However at the same time, I have to confess that registration to a long attended congress with virtually visiting all well-known professors of the field and even my friends, gave me an utmost happiness very much similar to a real experience. Human beings need a sense of belonging after all.
