When and why did you start a career in childcare?

?I came to Australia in 2012 wanting to pursue a career in Early Education. I feel very passionate about being able to help shape future generations.

What's your philosophy on education and care?

I firmly believe that children learn best when they feel safe, cared for, and loved.

How would you describe your career journey?

It is not without difficulty but very rewarding. It is a great pleasure to be able to build and maintain relationships with children and help them achieve the best outcomes. What do you love most about your job and working for your current organisation?

Being able to share my knowledge and expertise in Early childhood and support educators be the best versions of themselves. I work for a very supportive organisation that values respect and diversity.

What is your proudest career achievement?

?Being able to set a positive culture of unity within the educator team despite differences and cultural backgrounds. It is always important to remember that we are all in this together, and we are here for the children.

What has most contributed to your career success?

I worked alongside great educators, mentors and leaders who believed in me and the things I could achieve. Conscious Discipline, a trauma-informed practice, has played a huge role in my career as it helped me access my brilliance to pass it on to children and educators.

What advice would you give someone looking to pursue a career in early childhood education? ?

Early Childhood Education is a continuously evolving sector. You must be patient and ready to take on new challenges and learnings.?
