Bella Bites Blog 2: People = Success

As a content creator, I have had the privilege to serve as an ambassador for several brands, but one in particular holds a special place in my heart. I want to shine a spotlight on Ollie’s Great Bakery. I have partnered with this brand for exactly a year as my first post with them was last February (#galentinesday). Nothing brings me more joy than to capture baked goods content. For those who are not familiar, Ollie’s is a local bakery that makes deliveries to college towns in North Carolina. Every order is fresh and of the highest quality.

Aside from their delicious treats, the owners, Cam and Charlie, have a genuine and radiant energy that adds to the brand experience. With every Ollie’s order, I am filled with excitement because I know I am going to have a heart-to-heart conversation rather than a product handoff. I remember being so afraid to Instagram direct message Ollie’s to form a partnership, but my desire to work with such passionate people took over and I am so glad I pressed send.

My professor, Gary Kayye?? CTS , said something in class that resonated with me. He said you will like your job more when you work around people you enjoy. In other words, the people make the place. That is exactly what I intend to do. I want to work with people that motivate me, challenge me, congratulate me, and make me laugh. Interacting with Cam and Charlie and seeing their delight with every delivery allowed me to understand exactly what my professor meant. Even when sales are slow or ingredients don’t ship on time, they have each other and that is what drives their business. I have continued working with Ollie’s because they uplift me and I always reciprocate their energy.?

All in all, I hope to find friendship and community in my future job. It is more important to me to have a supportive network and a strong team bond as I know that will make me happier in the long run and drive my own success.
